Ness Heart Beanie
CROCHET PATTERN: This crochet heart hat pattern features a puff stitch 3D heart and includes options for both closed top and messy bun styles. A link for a downloadable template for 3 sizes of faux fur pom-poms is also included.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.
SIZES: S-XL (head circumferences ranging from 20-23 inches).
SMALL: 18.5" circumference
MEDIUM: 20.2" circumference
LARGE: 21.3" circumference
X-Large: 22.5" circumference
HOOK: 4mm crochet hook (or hook size that achieves correct gauge).
YARN: Approximately 300 yards of DK weight (#3) yarn or fingering held with kidsilk lace (the sample photos utilize fingering held with kidsilk lace).
GAUGE: 13 stitches & 16 rows = 4"/10cm in modified half double crochet (worked in the round, with no turns).

Gauge is very important. Super easy to follow and organized pattern; makes an adorable hat or bun beanie! The stitches look knit and the heart is so sweet. I would recommend a solid color for the actual beanie part, just my preference! I am excited to make more of these in different colors :)
Very well written with good illustrations. You may want to add rows of mhdc before and after the heart to make it longer.
