Wrapping Knot

Wrapping knots are a great way to secure the ends of tassels and braids and are also a common knotting technique used in macrame.

STEP 1: Take your wrapping strand and form a loop with the curve portion facing downward.

STEP 2: Take the long end and wrap it around all of your strands including the wrapping strand itself. Continue wrapping down toward the curve portion of the loop until your desired length of knot it reached

STEP 3: Take the long end and insert it through the loop.

STEP 4: Pull the shorter strand to draw the longer strand up into the wrapped portion of the knot. Trim the bottom strand, and then pull the top strand one more time to hide any ends.

Step 5: Trip the top strand to complete the knot!
