mhdc2tog: Decreasing the modified half double crochet stitch

The mhdc2tog (modified half double crochet two together), is a fundamental crochet technique known for its ability to decrease stitches. Aptly named, the mhdc2tog involves merging two stitches into one, resulting in a reduction of your stitch count.

The modified half double crochet 2 together is identical to a regular half double crochet 2 together, the only variable is stitch placement. Yarn over and insert your hook in between the left and right legs of the stitch of the first stitch (rather than through the front and back loops), yarn over and pull through, yarn over and pull through 2 loops, yarn over and insert your hook in between the right and left legs of next stitch (same as you just did for the first stitch), yarn over and pull through, yarn over and pull through all of the loops on your hook.
